Our Vision

Our vision is of a world improved through the positive impact of research published in Chemical Engineering Science.

Chemical Engineering is a critical force for a better future enabling humanity to address many of the global challenges we face.

Affordable clean energy, clean water, responsible production, sustainable communities, and good health and well-being, all require advanced chemical engineering knowledge and its application.

Our Aims and Scope

Our aim is to selectively publish outstanding research that has as its foundations the Scienceof Chemical Engineering. We welcome all top-shelf research in the continually evolvingdiscipline of chemical engineering.

The Engineering Science section continues its long leadership of publishing importantdevelopments in the fundamentals of the discipline since 1951.

The Catalysis, Green and Sustainable, Environmental and Novel Materials sections publishnovel, innovative, and high-impact applications of Chemical Engineering Science reported bychemical engineers and their allied peers.

Please write your text in good English (American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture of these). Use decimal points (not commas); use a space for thousands (10 000 and above).

Authors for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to have their paper checked for grammar and clarity before submitting to ensure a high standard of written English. Papers written with a low standard of English may not be accepted for publication.

Full Length Papers should be complete and authoritative accounts of work which have special significance, general interest and which are presented clearly and concisely.

Short Communications deal with new ideas and specific points rather than developing a theme, and should not exceed the equivalent of 2000 words including illustrations and tables.

Review Articles that are authoritative and show a high degree of critical analysis of the literature are welcome. It is expected that the authors of the review are themselves expert in the field as evidenced by a track record of relevant published research. Review articles have a recommended structure and must be accompanied by a comprehensive Cover Letter that addresses specific points of interest to the Editors. Authors should download the Review Guidance document to ensure their Review Article confirms with Editorial expectations.
